Kindergarten/Grade One/Grade Two Art
I taught a combined Kindergarten, Grade One, and Grade Two art class, in which we used a variety of tools and mediums to create artwork. Here we have winter scenery paintings, which used watercolour paints, tempura paint splatter, and epsom salts to create different effects. We also created catching snowflakes perspective artwork, which consisted of construction paper and yarn to create personalized art pieces. For these perspective pieces because of the varying ages and abilities I had to have components pre-traced for the Kindergartens to cut out and then had tracers available for the grade one's and two's to create their own pieces needed. These projects encompass KSA # 5 & 9 as I had to take into consideration the needs of the students and their abilities, what they need to help them learn best, and by providing different mediums for students to use.
